Mr. Michael Randy “Bones” Hyatt, age 62, Jonesborough, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Hyatt was born August 20, 1961, in Johnson City, to the late Dee & Jessie Hyatt. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Amy Hyatt, September 28, 2023, daughter, Jessica Marie Hyatt, brother, Horace Robert Hyatt, and grandparents, John & Josie Hyatt.

Mr. Hyatt retired from the Town of Jonesborough’s Water Department.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather Hyatt (Rick Smith), Jonesborough; step-son, Ryan Dougherty (Nikkie) Jonesborough; grandchildren, Christopher White (Allisa), Megan Tucker (Jackie), Jessica White, Joseph White, Alexis Pike (Carson), Anthony Brown, Alex Brown (Rachel), and Kenleigh Dougherty; great grandchildren, Christopher White and Elaina Pike; brothers, Joseph Hyatt and Alan Hyatt; sisters, Martha Kyker and Mary Alexander; and several nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be conducted 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Lenny Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday prior to the service.

I used to work with bones at the water department had a lot of good times with him and learned a lot even got to scare him one time with a rubber snake I'll never forget that or him truly sorry for your loss.
